DON'T WATCH THESE IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE!!!!!
No fear....
300 1st fight
"Immortals"
Barbarians and "a beautiful death"
Training and Commitment to war made the Spartans worthy of this depiction.
What would commitment of this magnitude to the LORD result in? How would I look if I received more of God's love... If I went to another level of receiving His love?
I John 4:7-11
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."
I must receive His love before I can even THINK about loving myself. I must love myself as Jesus does, because I am commanded to think of myself with sober judgement... I must think of myself in accordance with how God thinks of me. (Romans 12:1-3) I must love myself before I can even THINK about loving others, "as I love myself." (Luke 10:27 & John 13:34). THEN my faith can express itself through love (Galatians 5:6) and my love will look like I Corinthians 13:4-8a:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

Don't Despise the PROCESS
There is a lot to be said for the heart of a believer desperately desiring to be clean. However, "if you want the peanut butter jar to be empty, you've gotta make a lot of sandwiches!!!" We have ALREADY been delivered from all of our sins; our addictions; our unrighteousness; our pain. We do not always WALK in a manner that supports that statement, but that does not make it untrue.
Think about this, and research the truthfulness of this statement. Virtually ALL of the commands and exhortations and instructions in the New Testament of the Bible concern "getting your mind right," as I like to say. That is a process. We, as Christians, cannot handle going from being dirty, sinful creatures to being able to walk completely free in an instant. Mentally, we would freeze up and not know what to do. Exodus 23:20-33 displays this PRINCIPLE in natural terms, but ESPECIALLY verses 29-30:
"But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land."
Do not despise the process of God cleaning you out! No, you do not walk free from all of your foolish habits. That does not mean that you are not free. It means that you have not learned to walk free from it. The GOAL of your faith is the salvation of your soul (your MIND, your Will and your EMOTIONS). The only part of your soul that you can really control is your will. God will change the rest AS YOU DECIDE to follow Him and be obedient. (Philippians 2: 12-13). That process involves PAINFUL discipline, in the form of hardships. However, the result of that discipline is the holiness, righteousness and peace that you long for. (Hebrews 12:7-13). Do not despise the process!
If your soul was a peanut butter jar, then all of your
"foolishness" that is associated with your mind, will and emotions would be the peanut butter. For your soul to be completely clean, the knife has to be thrust in, twisted and scraped across SEVERAL times...
IF YOU WANT THE PEANUT BUTTER JAR TO BE EMPTY, YOU HAVE TO MAKE A LOT OF SANDWICHES!!!!!!!!!!!
:)
I love you!!!!

speaking in faith
*******I posted this so that ya'll can pray with me, and those of you who are on this list are there because I love you and trust you. I also know that the majority of you already are prayer warriors, and those who are not, I believe that you WILL BE!!!*******
"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he" Proverbs 23:7
"The tongue has the power of life and death..." Proverbs 18:21
"Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalms 37:4
Here are the desires of my heart:
--> To continually become MORE of a Man of God!!!
--> To continue to grow in faithfulness and blamelessness
--> To marry a woman who easily blows away every "high standard" that I had!!!
--> to finish Chiropractic school with at least a 3.0 GPA
--> To be a best-selling author
--> To be a millionaire by Age 36
--> To open the Tetelestai Industries Disciple Dorm by age 40
--> To be able to sow CRAZY amounts of money into the Kingdom of God
--> To have a body fat percentage lower than 13
--> To be able to run 5K in 20 minutes
--> To build my dream house by 38
I think that's enough for now, but I know a God who bestows favor and honor! I know a God who withholds NO GOOD THING from those whose walk is BLAMELESS!!!! Psalms 84:11 And if you don't ask, you don't get. (John 15:16 & 16:23-27) He loves me much more than my spiritual parents (it's debatable as to whether my natural parents loved me at all) and if I ask them for something, they want to give it to me. How much more does my Heavenly Father want to bless me. (Matthew 7:7-11)

LORD, give me a sign
It is really interesting...
DMX always had a song or two on his CDs trying to honor this "Jesus" that his grandmother loves, but this song is actually showing a heart that is really desiring the LORD. I'm choosing to look beyond the fact that DMX is looking for "a sign," (Matthew 16:4) and hoping that his heart is crying out.
The rest of the CD seems like the same old DMX, but I hope that the heart behind this song begins to take over his life! Ya'll pray for DMX!!!

Faith, Hope and Love
I've posted a pretty long string of silly blogs in a row. Most of you who know me well, know that I can be a pretty silly (and corny) guy. I love to laugh. As some of you may have noticed, I can occasionally be so joyous that I will start to giggle in the middle of my own sentences :)
I am sure, though, that those of you who really know me also know that I am extremely serious about loving the LORD. I love the Word of God, which I believe the Holy Bible is. There is a concept, and a correlation between faith, hope and love that is difficult to grasp fully. These concepts seem to be difficult to grasp by themselves, but when you put them together and begin to see how they intertwine, it can become rather confusing. I was thinking about this a lot as I prayed today.
Faith:
Faith is Biblically defined as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
*** Without it, we cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6)
*** Everything that does not come from it, is sin (Romans 14:23)
*** It seems that it cannot coexist with possession or sight (Romans 8:23, II Corinthians 4:18, Philippians 3:7-21)
*** It is the defining characteristic of the life of the righteous (Habbakuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, II Corinthians 5:7, Galatians 2:20, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38)
*** It has its own Hall of Fame (Hebrews 11)
Hope:
Is not as well defined or discussed in the Bible as faith or love, the best definition that I can infer from the context clues in the Bible is as follows:
Hope is the expectation of something good in the future.
*** When it is deferred (or delayed), the heart is sickened (Proverbs 13:12)
*** The loss of hope is likened to depression and death (The whole book of Job, many of the Psalms - Psalms 42 is a good example)
*** If it is placed in the LORD, your strength is renewed (Isaiah 40:31)
*** If it is placed in the LORD, you will not be disappointed (Isaiah 49:23)
*** The Plans the LORD has for you are to give you more of it (Jeremiah 29:11)
*** It is developed in us through perseverence, which is developed in us through suffering --> and it does not disappoint us (Romans 5:4-5)
*** It is the basis of our faith (Colossians 1:5, I Timothy 1:1, Colossians 1:27, Titus 1:2)
*** It is to what we were called (Ephesians 4:4)
*** It protects our minds (I Thessalonians 5:8)
*** It is an anchor for our soul (Hebrews 6:19)
*** It is how we draw near to God (Hebrews 7:19)
Love:
It is Biblically defined thus: "This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins" I John 4:10
*** It is described in I Corinthians 13:4-8a
*** Love is Patient
*** Love is Kind
*** Love does not Envy
*** Love does not Boast
*** Love is not Proud
*** Love is not Rude
*** Love is not Self-Seeking
*** Love is not Easily Angered
*** Love Keeps No Record of Wrongs
*** Love does not Rejoice in Evil
*** Love Rejoices With the Truth
*** Love Always Protects
*** Love Always Trusts
*** Love Always Hopes
*** Love Always Perseveres
*** Love Never Fails
*** It is greater than Faith or Hope (I Corinthians 13:13)
*** It is how faith expresses itself (Galatians 5:6)
*** It is the nature of God (I John 4:8)
Love could be given a much, much, MUCH longer and deeper treatment than I have given it, but you get the idea..... Please take the time and REALLY search out the love that God has for you. Please take the time to read all about love in the Bible. True love is so much deeper than most of this world can fathom.
HERE IS MY REQUEST:
If you really know me, leave a comment and let me know how the love I have shown you measures up to the Truth of what love is. I want to love you better, stronger, and deeper. Thanks. I love you!!!

Four Letter Words
Please excuse the rough language in the following story... I would have deleted them, but the story wouldn't be the same. (Keep reading - you'll laugh)
A young couple got married and went on their honeymoon. When they got back, the bride immediately called her mother.
"Well", said her mother, "so how was the honeymoon?"
"Oh mama", she replied, "the honeymoon was wonderful! So romantic"......Suddenly she burst out crying. "But, mama, as soon as we returned, Sam started using the most horrible language -- things I'd never heard before! I mean, all these awful 4-letter words! You've got to take me home! PLEASE MAMA!"
"Sarah, Sarah", her mother said, "calm down! You need to stay with your husband and work this out. Now, tell me, what could be so awful? WHAT 4-letter words?"
"Please don't make me tell you, mama," wept the daughter. "I'm so embarrassed, they're just too awful! COME GET ME, PLEASE!!"
"Darling, baby, you must tell me what has you so upset. Tell your mother these horrible 4-letter words!"
Sobbing, the bride said, "Oh, Mama..., he used words like: dust, wash, iron, and cook..."
"I'll pick you up in twenty minutes," said the mother
